BOIL WATER NOTICES TO BE LIFTED IN CONNEMARA IN NEW YEAR

Date Published: 28-Dec-2011
Up to one thousand residents in the Connemara region will be able to drink their tap water in the New Year, after almost three years of coping with contaminated supplies.
A spokesperson for the County Council says 'they are optimistic' boil notices for Letterfrack, Rosmuc and Tullycross will all be lifted in the coming months.
The news will come as certain relief to people who have been forced to boil tap water for drinking, brushing teeth and preparing food for as long as three years.
