Bids sought for operation of Aran passenger ferry

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Expressions of interest are being sought for the operation of a passenger ferry between the Aran islands and the mainland. The Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht has advertised the contract which will also include a connecting road transport service to and from Galway city. The contract term will commence in November and run until the end of October 2017. The deadline for all interested bids is next Monday (Aug 18th).
