BAIL REMAND FOR ROMANIAN COUPLE OVER LACKAGH CEMETERY ORNAMENTS

A Romanian couple charged with handling stolen statues from a graveyard in Lackagh has been further remanded on bail until March 7th.

Marian Lingurar and Crisa Rostas with a former address at a rented house in Loughgeorge Claregalway appeared before Galway District Court where they were assisted by an interpreter.

Garda Inspector Mick Coppinger said the file is still with the Director of Public Prosecutions and that directions are expected shortly.
