ARAN ISLANDS ELECTRIC CAR TRIAL SHOWS 80 PER CENT LOWER RUNNING COST

The first year of a trial on electrically powered cars on the Aran Islands has shown the running cost can be 80% lower than for cars using conventional fuels. The trial, which is under the control of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, is now entering its second year.
