AHASCRAGH PRIEST CALLS FOR RTE CHIEFS TO FACE CONSEQUENCES OF LIBEL

Ahascragh priest Fr Kevin Reynolds says people at the heart of decision-making in RTÉ should face the consequences of broadcasting false accusations against him.He was speaking for the first time after his case against RTÉ was settled last week.

RTÉ Primetime Investigates falsely said he raped a girl in Kenya and fathered her child.

Fr Reynolds says he forgives those who defamed him - and he's not personally calling for people to be sacked.However, he says that people in authority in all state agencies need to be held accountable for decisions like this.
