AER ARANN TO ADOPT NEW BRAND NAME

Date Published: 02-Mar-2012
Aer Arann says no decision has yet been reached on plans to discontinue operating flights in its own name.
The airline was controlled by Galway businessman Padraig O'Ceidigh until it went into examinership in 2010.
He still remains involved in the airline.
A spokesperson for Aer Arann says no decision has yet been reached on a possible switchover from its own brand into the Aer Lingus regional franchise service which it has operated since March 2010.
Flights that would switch include the State-subsidised public service obligation Dublin-Kerry route, and flights from Waterford to Birmingham, London Southend, London Luton, Lorient and Manchester.
