9 STUDENTS ARRESTED IN GALWAY TD OFFICE PROTEST

9 NUIG students have been arrested after they occupied the constituency office of a Fine Gael TD in Galway city this lunchtime. The 9 students are all members of Free Education for Everyone Galway. They occupied Deputy Brian Walsh's office on Bohermore around midday, with one student climbing onto the roof of the building. After an hour-long stand-off involving Galway Gardaí and a unit of Galway Fire Brigade, the students were forcibly removed from the office one by one. They've been taken to Millstreet Garda Station.
