85 THOUSAND EURO FOR LITTER AWARENESS IN GALWAY

85 thousand euro in grants has been allocated to Galway to fund public education and awareness initiatives on both litter and graffiti.The City Council will receive 48 thousand euro, while Galway County Council will get 37 thousand euro from the Department of the Environment.The money will allow both local authorities to stimulate anti-litter activity through media campaigns, clean-ups, school competitions, posters, leaflets and exhibitions.
