70 people attend meeting on Galway Bay fish farm
Up to 70 people attended at public meeting in the city last night (25/4) to discuss the proposed fish farm for Galway bay.
Staff of Bord Iascaigh Mhara were due to attend, however they withdrew from the talk at the eleventh hour.
In a statement to Galway Bay fm News, BIM said it couldn't see the value of another public debate with certain groups.
The majority of those who attended the meeting had serious concerns about the fish farm which would be located off Inis Oírr.
The meeting was organised by Siiin Fein and Senator Trevor O' Clochartaigh said he tried to give both sides of the argument at last night's meeting.
