500 HOMES WITHOUT WATER NEAR HEADFORD

Date Published: 28-Aug-2011

Up to 500 homes in the Headford area are without running water today after a mains water pipe burst in the area.

The main feeder pipe for the Liscloughanover and Logawanya areas on the Galway side of Headford burst around 3 o'clock this morning.

Galway county council repair crews have been working at the scene since early this morning.

Water is expected to be restored to home by later this evening.

Headford town is not affected by the water outtage.
