23 GALWAY SCHOOLS TO BENEFIT FROM GOVERNMENT FUNDING

23 schools across Galway are to share in a one point five bllion euro investment into the school building programme.

It's part of a five year investment package into 275 schools in the country.

New primary schools in the city, Castlegar,Tuam, Athenry, Loughrea, Oughterard, Oranmore, Claregalway and Spiddal are included in the list.

Work on a new secondary school in Athenry, a new school for Colaiste na Coiribe as well as extensions to many other schools will also get underway.
