1 POINT 5 MILLION EURO FOR GALWAY COUNCILLORS LAST YEAR

Over 1 point 5 million euro in expenses was paid to Galway City and County Councillors last year.Figures obtained by the Irish Independent, reveal that in 2007, the then Mayor of Galway, Tom Costello had the highest expenses of 62 thousand euro.Former Mayor of County Galway, Michael Mullins, followed close behind with an expenses bill of 61 thousand euro.
