Good news for most trick-or-treaters this Halloween with a promising Met Eireann weather forecast
Met Eireann has revealed what weather conditions will look like across the country ahead of Halloween weekend 2026.
The weather today, on Friday October 30th, will be mainly dry across the eastern half of the country with some sunny spells.
It will be cloudier elsewhere with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle gradually moving in across Atlantic counties.
It will be relatively mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with moderate to fresh southeast winds, easing light later this evening.
Tonight will bring further rain and drizzle to Atlantic counties, while remaining dry elsewhere with clear spells. Some mist and fog patches will develop too. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 12 degrees, coolest across the south and east, in just light southerly or variable winds, according to Met Eireann’s forecast.
Tomorrow, Saturday October 31st, will see scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle which will linger for a time across Atlantic counties, becoming patchier in the afternoon.
It will be dry with sunny spells across much of the Midlands, south and east, though damp and misty conditions may develop in the evening.
Good news as amounts of rain will be minimal with most of the country staying largely dry on Halloween.
The highest temperatures will range between 11 to 15 degrees in a light southeast or variable breeze.
Lowest temperatures will range between 2 to 9 degrees, with it being coolest across the north and west under clearing skies.
Mist and fog will develop in places too, in just light variable breezes.
Patchy drizzle will affect parts of the Midlands, south and east early on Sunday, November 1st. Some mist and fog in parts to begin too.
However, overall it will be dry with sunny spells. Cool, with afternoon highs of 10 to 13 degrees in a light northerly breeze.
Monday and Tuesday will be similar days with sunny spells and just light easterly breezes.
The odd spot of drizzle will show up across southern and eastern counties though.
Highest temperatures will range between 10 to 13 degrees with little change going forward; cool by day and rather cold by night.
Dry, outside patchy drizzle across eastern counties with some mist and fog may linger into the easterly mornings, according to Met Eireann.
