Vhi Hospital@Home now open in Galway
Vhi has extended its Hospital@Home service in Galway to provide hospital-in-the-home services to its customers.
The expansion of the service is the first of its kind outside the east coast of Ireland.
Initially, the new service in the west of Ireland will be available to suitable Vhi customers living within a 30 kilometre radius of Galway city.
Vhi Hospital@Home is a consultant-led hospital-in-the-home service allowing suitable patients to leave hospital and continue treatments in their own home under the care of experienced doctors and nurses.
The service is available to Vhi customers who have been identified by their GP/Consultant and the Vhi Hospital@Home team with a condition suitable for treatment at home.
“Vhi Hospital@Home provides Vhi customers with the opportunity to be cared for at home,” explained Dr Bernadette Carr, Medical Director of Vhi.
