'World' yacht expected to attract further cruise liners to Galway
That's according to Galway harbour Master, Brian Sheridan.Weighing over 40 thousand tonnes 'The World' has docked out past Mutton Island as it's too large for the inner harbour. The price of a two bedroom apartment onboard is almost three million dollars - and its residents pay maintenance fees of twenty thousand dollars a month.Brian Sheridan says he expects the presence of this liner is likely to have a 'domino' affect, and addsover 40 residents have already disembarked and are enjoying trips in the city and around the Connemara region.
