Tutor Susan offers new online course Finding the Words

Susan Millar DuMars is offering a new online course for all writers; poets, fiction writers and memoirists, new or experienced.
Finding The Words will take place virtually on Tuesday afternoons for 10 weeks, from May 12 to July 14.
The course will include weekly assignments and group feedback via email and a private Facebook group. Susan will be online on Tuesdays from 2.30-5pm, while students can choose when to offer feedback to each other. She will also be available via group Skype every second Tuesday from 4.30-5.30pm. This will give writers the chance to share their work aloud, ask questions and connect with each other.
American-born Susan has been co-organiser of Over The Edge monthly reading series since it began in 2003 and also MCs the event which is normally held at Galway City Library. She teaches creative writing at Galway Arts Centre, Galway Technical Institute, and on the BA with Creative Writing at NUIG.
She has taught poetry on the MA in Writing at NUIG. Her debut poetry collection, Big Pink Umbrella, was published by Salmon Poetry in 2008, followed by Dreams for Breakfast in 2010 and The God Thing (2013). Her fourth collection, Bone Fire, (Salmon) was launched at the 2016 Cúirt literary festival.
Her work features in Landing Places, the 2010 anthology from Dedalus Press of immigrant poetry written in Ireland; and also in The Best Of Irish Poetry 2010.
