Trad masters for Town Hall show
They are currently part of a new Irish ‘supergroup’ the Gloaming, but Clare fiddle player Martin Hayes and American guitarist Dennis Cahill take time out of touring with that outfit for a concert in the Town Hall Theatre next Thursday night, February 27 at 8pm.
Feakle-born Martin and Denis, from Chicago, possess a rare musical kinship that makes for a rare and special creative partnership. They have gained international renown for taking traditional Irish music in new directions with their slow-building, fiery performances, while remaining totally true to the roots of the music.
