Renmore Panto Society all set for 41st show, Aladdin

Aladdin, this year’s show from the popular Renmore Pantomime Society will run at the City’s Town Hall Theatre from December 29 to January 12 and excitement is growing as final touches are being put to the show.
The 41st production from the Renmore Society, Aladdin, promises to take the audience on a ‘magic carpet ride’ as people follow the adventures of Aladdin (Declan J. Gardiner) on his journey to winning the heart of the beautiful princess Jasmine (Jennifer Flaherty).
There will be fun and laughter on the way, as he enters ‘a whole new world’ from ‘Street Rat’ to ‘Prince’.
Meanwhile, Aladdin’s mother Widow Twankey, played by scriptwriter (Peter Kennedy), faces the ongoing challenge of trying to keep her son on his best behaviour while also keeping the local laundry in tip-top shape.
The winning cast of characters include including Hoozee (Aidan Corrigan), Esmeralda (Eilish O’Malley) and the iconic character Genie of the Lamp (Cian O’Ceallaigh).
Every pantomime needs a character that the audience love to hate and to heckle, and he comes in the shape of Abanazar (Michael Cooney). Expect plenty of boos as he attempts to deny Aladdin of a happy ending while growing his own magical powers.
This production includes some of the year’s biggest pop anthems alongside past favourites to ensure the audience will be ‘still standing’ and wanting more at the end.
