The Flowers of May, a powerful new play exploring parenting and autism, based on the performers' own experiences comes to the Town Hall Studio Theatre this Saturday, February 14.

Written by Matthew McMahon, who also features in it alongside Eileen Gomez, it’s a moving and authentic portrayal of what it means to raise a child with autism.

Rooted in their own lives, The Flowers of May is honest, warm and often humorous as it shines a light on the emotional landscape of parenting a neurodivergent child – from the shock of diagnosis to the quiet victories of everyday life.

The play invites audiences into the homes, hearts and inner worlds of parents who are learning to navigate difference with resilience, vulnerability and fierce love.

Drawing from their own experiences, Eileen and Matthew deliver raw, heartfelt performances that will resonate deeply with anyone who has ever faced uncertainty, adapted to a new reality, or has fought to have their child understood.

"This is a story we know inside out – because we’ve lived it," says Matthew. "We hope it speaks to parents, carers, teachers and to anyone who has walked a similar road or wants to understand it better."

Presented by Two & One Productions The Flowers of May will be staged in the Town Hall Studio this Saturday, at 8:30pm.

■ Tickets are available at tht.ie, 091-569777 or from the Town Hall box office.
