Folk duo the Lost Brothers are making their debut appearance at the city’s Town Hall Theatre this Sunday night, November 14, at 8pm when they’ll be joined by special guest Dónal Lunny, a fellow musician who is renowned for his work with bands including Planxty, Moving Hearts and the Bothy Band among others.

The Lost Brothers are Oisin Leech from Meath and Mark McCausland from Tyrone and they’re finally getting a chance to tour their critically acclaimed album After The Fire, After The Rain, which was released just before lockdown. Gigs scheduled to promote it then had to be deferred, including a show at the Town Hall.

They formed the group in Liverpool in 2008 and recorded their debut album in Portland, Oregon, shortly after.

Since then the duo whose influences range from Patrick Kavanagh to Billie Holiday, have released six acclaimed albums including 2018’s Halfway Towards A Healing which reached the number one on the Irish iTunes charts and was shortlisted for MOJO Albums Of 2018 and The Irish Times’ Best Of 2018. They were also nominated for Best Album and Best Group at the inaugural RTÉ Radio Folk Awards.
