Graham’s presence to spur on Leitrim against Galway in Connacht semi-final

THE sight of Mickey Graham on the Galway sideline against Leitrim at Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday should be like a red flag to a bull!
For the former Cavan manager and player left the Connacht minnows in the lurch just two months after being appointed as team boss in October 2024.
And to compound Leitrim’s sense of grievance, Graham was unveiled as a Galway coach a fortnight later.
On Saturday in Carrick-on-Shannon (3:30pm), he will have to face the music when the counties clash in the Connacht semi-final.
It gives Leitrim an almighty cause in trying to build on their upset victory over Sligo at Markievicz Park earlier in the month.
Midfielder powerhouse Barry McNulty was the star of the show, scoring 1-6, as Leitrim try to reach their first Connacht Final since 2000 when falling to Galway on a 1-13 to 0-8 scoreline. Despite all this motivation, they have little chance of causing a bigger shock on Saturday.
