The ultimate sign of love from any Galway person

Love Island’s favourite couple Sean Fitzgerald and Lola Deal took another big step in their relationship this week after they were spotted walking out from a jewellers in Galway city.

Fitzy and Lola have been inseparable since making their own decision to leave the villa midway through the season as they had found what they were looking for.

There has been several sightings around Galway city since from dining in Seven to late nights in The Front Door.

Lola even enjoyed her first GAA match as Fitzy togged for Bearna/Na Forbacha at the weekend.

She was spotted in the crowds cheering on her man at half back but Milltown showed no love for her or Fitzy hammering his side by ten points.

There was more to smile about on Tuesday though as they stepped out with matching Claddagh rings from Shop Street’s Claddagh Jewellers.

They said: “A lovely visit from Fitzy and Lola, who both left with a new ring. Between the chats and a few photos, we crafted Lola’s ring by hand to get the fit just right. A lovely Galway afternoon all round. Bainigí sult astu — enjoy them.”

The Bearna clubman was part of the Galway U20 side that won the All-Ireland title in 2020.

Between 2023 and 2025, Fitzgerald began to establish himself at inter county level where he featured regularly in the number three position.

Fitzgerald had been part of the Tribesmen’s senior football panel since 2022 and even featured on the panel against Leitrim this year in the Connacht Championship before his exit to Casa Amor this summer.

Numerous Irish people have featured on Love Island in the past including former Kilnadeema Leitrim hurler Dylan Towolawi back in 2024.
