MICHEAL DONOGHUE has named an unchanged Galway senior hurling team for Sunday’s All-Ireland final showdown with Limerick.

After powering on through injury in Galway’s All-Ireland semi-final win over Cork, Daithi Burke has been deemed fit enough to start. Burke picked up a knee injury in the Leinster final but he has been to battle on and remain a crucial part of the Galway defence.

Sarsfields clubman Darren Morrissey captains the Tribesmen on Sunday afternoon. Morrissey will be aiming to recreate the success of 2017, when he led the Galway minors to All-Ireland glory as captain.

Padraic and Cathal Mannion, Daithi Burke, Conor Cooney and Conor Whelan are the only survivors that featured in Galway’s last All-Ireland final in 2018. Meanwhile, Rory Burke misses this Sunday’s All-Ireland final with a hamstring injury. Burke limped off with a hamstring injury in Galway’s Leinster final win over Dublin. The Oranmore Maree clubman missed the All-Ireland semi-final.

Galway face Limerick in the All-Ireland Hurling final on Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm in Croke Park. Cork native Colm Lyons takes charge of the big game. Donoghue has also named an unchanged bench.
