GER BRENNAN has made one to the Dublin starting XV to take on Galway in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final. Defender Eoin Kennedy replaces Nathan Doran in the Dublin defence.

Dublin goalkeeper Evan Comerford retains the number one jersey behind a defence comprising Sean MacMahon, Kennedy, David Byrne, Lee Gannon, Theo Clancy and Charlie McMorrow.

Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne and Brian Howard are named at midfield for the Leinster finalists. Up front, Colm Basquel, Con O'Callaghan, Niall Scully, Paddy Small, Ciarán Kilkenny and Cormac Costello make up a potent attacking unit for Ger Brennan's side.

Sean Bugler is included among the substitutes, while O'Callaghan has been passed fit to start despite remaining an injury concern after limping off during extra time in Dublin's victory over Donegal.

Dublin required extra time to overcome Donegal in Round three of the All-Ireland series. Brennan’s side have responded impressively after suffering defeat to Louth in round one, recording victories over Cavan and Donegal to revive their campaign. This weekend will mark their third consecutive week in action.

Momentum is undoubtedly building behind the Dubs. After difficult league and Leinster Championship campaigns, they have reignited their season and will be backed by a sizeable support in Croke Park.

The action gets underway on Sunday at 4pm in Croke Park and it will form part of a double-header, with Louth and Monaghan meeting at 1.45pm. Both matches will be broadcast live on RTÉ Two.
