UPMC Nowlan Park will host the Division 1A Hurling final between Galway and Waterford on Sunday April 12th.

The action gets underway at 2:15pm with the game being shown live on RTE television and it will form part of a double header alongisde the Division 1B final between Dublin and Clare at 12:15pm.

Cathal Murray’s charges registered wins over Tipperary, Cork and Antrim during Division 1A. Kilkenny and Waterford got the better of the Tribeswomen in the National League but it still proved to be enough for them to progress into the Division 1A decider.

Galway will be hoping to get revenge on Waterford who defeated them in round two of the league. The Galway U23’s were narrowly defeated by Cork 1-11 to 0-11 on last Sunday afternoon.

“Ally Hesnan and Laura Kelly are injured; Sabina Rabbitte, Ollie (Olwen Rabbitte) won’t make it back for the under-23 championship which is disappointing for them. Katie Anna (Porter), Shannon (Corcoran), Ciara Hickey have just a lot of camogie played. But we’ll see plenty more players and that’s what we want to do was give them players a chance to put their hands up,” said Galway senior and U23 camogie manager Cathal Murray.
