RALLY AGAINST CLOSURE OF CITY NURSING HOME

"Respect the existence of our elderly or expect resistance from their community".
That was the message from a large group of protestors who took part in a demonstration against the closure of St. Francis Nursing Home this afternoon.
The Health Minister Dr James Reilly is to meet a delegation of the home's committee in Leinster House next Thursday afternoon.
The meeting comes following a long running campaign that has gathered almost 25 thousand signatures from the Galway public.
