The highlights of last week’s O’Donnellan & Joyce auction were residential and commercial properties which attracted a huge amount of interest from potential owner-occupiers and investors.

Some of the Galway properties on sale included a three-bed semi-detached in Cedarwood Park, Highfield Park in Galway, which sold for Galway City which sold for €354,000 – its Advised Minimum Value was €265,000.

Following a considerable number of viewings, there was an intense bidding war between a number of parties in the room and after 22 bids, the hammer fell to a young couple.

A three-bed end of terrace home at 32 Ashe Road, Shantalla, which was constructed in the 1960s, sold to a phone bidder for €25,000 above the AMV of €250,000.

A two-bed ground floor apartment located in Maigh Riocaird, on the Headford Road (with tenants in place) sold to an investor at its AMV of €125,000.
