Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Caherlistrane on Friday night.

Four men, wearing balaclavas and gloves broke into the parochial house in Caherlistrane between 9 and 10pm and tied up the parish priest Fr. Patrick O' Brien.

The second and third men wore dark tops and jeans, while the fourth man was tall and thin wearing all black clothes.

Tuam Gardaí are investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Caherlistrane area in the past few days to contact them.
