WORKERS AT CARLTON HOTEL TO STEP UP STRIKE ACTION
Date Published: 11-Dec-2009
Industrial action will intensify at the Carlton Hotel in the city today if management do not return to the table for talks.
That's according to Deputy Shop Steward, John Palmer.
Over 100 staff at the hotel balloted in favour of industrial action last month following the sudden dismissal of the hotels accountancy staff.
Workers began picketing at the Dublin Road entrance to the hotel yesterday to support four of their colleagues who lost their jobs.
