WORK ON DERRYMULLEN FLOOD DEFENCE WALL EXPECTED TO START NEXT MONTH

The construction of a 2 kilometre defence wall to help protect homes in the Derrymullen area of Ballinasloe from flooding will begin next month.

At this week's meeting of the Town Council, engineer Adrian Head announced that the final drawings for the concrete wall are ready to go to tender.
