Woman still held in Athenry murder probe

A woman in her 30s is still being held by Gardai in their murder investigation of a Polish man in Athenry.

She is still being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Meanwhile, two male teens and a man in his 40s have been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

41 year-old Krzysztof Ciesielski sustained serious head injuries during a row in Athenry last week, and died less than a week later in University Hospital Galway.
