WATER RESTRICTIONS ON ARAN ISLAND

At the height of the tourist season in Galway, water restrictions have been put in place on the Aran Island of Inis Oírr.

The restrictions are due to a water shortage on the island.

Restrictions will be in place from 1p.m to 5p.m and from 8p.m to 9a.m. every day.

A spokesperson for Galway County Council says the water limitations on Inis Oírr will remain in place for the immediate future.
