VISITOR RESTRICTIONS STILL IN PLACE AT PORTIUNCULA HOSPITAL

Visitor restrictions are still in place at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe this weekend following an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug earlier this week.

The public is being asked to refrain from visiting the hospital in an effort to stop the highly contagious norovirus from spreading.

The Norovirus is present in two wards of Portiuncula hospital- St. Joseph's ward and St John's ward,
