UNOFFICIAL STRIKE AT CEANNT STATION ENDS

There are some small delays to train services in and out of Ceannt station in Galway this evening as a result of a lightening unofficial strike earlier.Internal staff promotion issues were behind the brief strike this afternoon which forced the cancellation of the 1.10pm Galway to Dublin service.Management were informed shortly before 1 o clock of the strike and the potential train passengers were then brought to Dublin by bus. The stations 3.05 service to Dublin was also threatened but at the last minute, staff decided to resolve the issue through official industrial relations procedures.
