UNIQUE CITY SEMINAR FOR GALWAY KINSHIP CARERS

A special seminar to provide advice and support to family members who have taken on the parental role for young people, will take place in the city next month.

The Western Region drugs task force is organising the free seminar, which will take place at the Clayton Hotel on Tuesday March 5th from 10a.m.

Across the country many children and young people are being cared for by family members.

Education Support Worker with Aids West Neil Wilson explained to Galway Bay fm news this can be due to ill health, bereavement or drug and alcohol issues, sanctioned by court or supported by Social Services.
