UNIONS TO DISCUSS MERLIN PARK WARD CLOSURES WITH HSE

A meeting between unions and the HSE will take place later today over proposed unit closures at Merlin Park Hospital.

Up to a hundred people gathered outside Merlin Park this lunchtime to protest over the plans to close some units.

Staff are angry that they were not consulted by the HSE West about the plans, which were mooted to consultants earlier this month.
