UNFINISHED HOLE IN ORANMORE ESTATE TO BE SURVEYED

Survey work is to begin shortly to fill a large hole in Oranhill Estate in Oranmore in a bid to make the area safe for residents.

The large hole was originally dug some years ago for the construction of a major development which has since never been built.

Galway Senator Fidelma Healy Eames has raised the issue in the Seanad and says the unsightly hole poses a considerable danger for families and young children.

Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, she says a committment has now been received to survey the area and have it filled.
