UHG WORST PERFORMING HOSPITAL IN COUNTRY

University Hospital Galway is the worst performing hospital in the country.
The most recent HSE healthstats give UHG a 'red' marking system which means it requires urgent attention.
The Healthstats also reveal that eight percent of patients wait more than 24 hours to be admitted to the A & E Department for treatment.Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe was given an 'amber' mark, meaning it's of average performance and there is room for improvement.
