UHG PARKING CRISIS BLAMED ON HEALTH MINISTER

A City Councillor is blaming the Health Minister for overdeveloping University Hospital Galway and says local residents are suffering as a result of the hospital's parking crisis. Councillor Collette Connolly has made the accusations as its been confirmed a verbal agreement has been made to transform the Shantalla Park into another hospital car park.Councillor Connolly says the UHG site is at saturation point and thinks Mary Harney should have developed the bigger Merlin Park Hospital site instead .She now believes the Minister will sell the lands at Merlin Park as real estate instead of using them for hospital care
