UHG MATERNITY UNIT LAST IN NATIONAL LEAGUE TABLE

University Hospital Galway has come in last in a league table of maternity hospitals by IrishHealth.com.
However, Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe has fared much better.
Service users voted UHG into 19th place in the first national league table of maternity services, which saw almost 3 and a half thousand people vote.
Dublin's Mount Carmel private hospital was voted as the country's best maternity unit.
The maternity unit at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe was voted as the second best in the country with almost 80 percent of the vote.
