UDARAS CONFIRMS SPENDING FREEZE IS STYMING JOB CREATION

Údarás na Gaeltachta says the Government freeze on spending in State agencies is preventing it from creating 250 new jobs.The Furbo based body for the development of the Gaeltacht regions says it has a number of projects in the pipeline which cannot proceed until it is allowed to release funding.A Department of Finance freeze on new spending is in place for State agencies, however it doesn't apply to the IDA and has been lifted for Enterprise Ireland.
