TWENTY PER CENT DROP IN NEW CAR SALES IN GALWAY

New car sales are down almost twenty percent in Galway compared to this time last year.

That's according to the latest figures compiled by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry.

Only three thousand and sixty five units have been sold to date in 2012 compared to three thousand eight hundred and thirty by this time last year.

Sales across the country have decreased significantly with the biggest drop of over twenty four percent recorded in County Clare.
