Turf cutters meeting in Ballinasloe tonight
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A turf cutters meeting will be held in Gullanes, Ballinasloe at 8 o'clock tonight.It's in relation to a number of National Heritage Area Bogs due to cease cutting from January.
This is the tenth such meeting to be held by the Turf Cutters and Contractors Association nationwide. The bogs being discussed at tonight's meeting are Killure, Crit Island West, Annaghbeg, Castle French East, Castle French West, Carricknaghtan and Suck River Callows.
