RIP: Award-winning Galway businessman, sports star and musician dies unexpectedly

He was a man of many talents, taken far too soon
An award-winning Galway businessman, musician and much loved sports man has died unexpectedly with tributes flooding in for the extremely talented man.
Adrian ‘Ade’ Connolly from Milltown in Galway died suddenly on Thursday September 3 with the north Galway area left in shock from the news.
Ade was a singer-songwriter at first in his early days before creating the hugely successful photography and videography business Marriage Multimedia and then eventually taking up a post with Tuam soccer club Dynamo Blues as a coach.
Phonebooth phone shop in Tuam was the first to pay tribute to the man having close ties with his daughter saying he was a “man of many talents, who was taken far too soon”.
They said: “We offer our deepest sympathies to Alisha Garvey and all the Connolly, McHugh and Ryan families on the sudden passing of her father, Adrian Connolly.
“Alisha was the first female employee of Phonebooth and became a familiar face behind the counter at weekends throughout her college years.
“In his younger days, Adrian showed his artistic side as a singer-songwriter, with his song ‘Your Eyes’ being featured on ‘Songs from a Broken Wheel’.
“Adrian carried that creative spark into his professional life with his award-winning photography and videography business, Marriage Multimedia.
“And if that wasn't enough, he also shone as a much-respected soccer coach, having recently taken up the post as manager of Dynamo Blues FC.”
Ade’s funeral will take place on Wednesday at St Joseph's Church, Milltown with burial afterwards in Kilgevrin cemetery.
His RIP.ie death notice reads: “Unexpectedly. Predeceased by his father-in-law Paul Ryan. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Dee (Deirdre), his children Alisha, Matthew, Daniel, Alison and Lauren, his grandchildren Thomas and Ellie, his father Sean, mother Margie, mother-in-law Susan, Alisha's partner Stephen, brother-in-law Declan and his wife Joanna, sisters-in-law Bernie and her husband Harry, Lauretta, and Karen and her husband Mike, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.”
