TUAM TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER BANNING ALCOHOL IN PUBLIC

Tuam Town Council is considering a new bye-law to prohibit the drinking of alcohol in public places.

Superintendent Gearóid Begley called on the Town Council to enact the bye-law at this week's meeting of the Joint Policing Committee, in a bid to reduce public order offences.
