TUAM LOSES OUT ON MILLIONS IN LEADER FUNDING

Millions of euro could be lost to Tuam town now that it has been excluded from the LEADER Programme for the next five years.Councillor Seán Canney says that all Gateway towns and Hub towns, including Tuam are being excluded.He says Tuam is now being penalised for having a designation and will lose out on substantial funding although the exact amount cannot be calculated.Councillor Canney says the lack of funding will mean many major projects planned for the town will be under threat
