TUAM HAS LONGEST WAITING TIME FOR SOCIAL WELFARE CLAIMS

The Social Welfare Office in Tuam has the longest processing time for jobseekers allowance in Galway.The average waiting time to process a new application for jobseekers allowance in Tuam is 12 and a half weeks.That's according to figures released today[23/1] by the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, Mary Hanafin.The shortest waiting time for social welfare is in Clifden, where it takes less than two weeks to process a claim for jobseekers allowance and less than a week for jobseekers benefit.
