The trial of two men accused of falsely imprisoning and assaulting a man at a Galway outhouse continues at Dublin circuit criminal court this morning. (8/03)

37 year old Aurelijus Zrielskis of Cois Chlair, Claregalway, has pleaded not guilty to causing serious harm to the man at an outhouse at Francis Cottage, Menlo in Galway on May 25, 2010.

He also pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment of Mr Eemon at the same date at the same place.

His co-accused, 32 year old Gintautas Bagdonas of Clan House, Dominick Street pleaded guilty in front of the jury to a lesser charge of assault causing harm and false imprisonment.

Judge Desmond Hogan remanded him in custody to be sentenced in May.

Opening the trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court yesterday prosecuting counsel, Roisin Lacey, told the jury that it will hear evidence that the alleged victim, Jaan Eemon, was abducted and taken to an outhouse over an unpaid drug debt.

The trial continues today before Judge Hogan and a jury of eight men and four women.
