Three new training and education centres officially opened in East Galway
Galway Bay newsroom - Three new centres for training and further education, under the auspices of County Galway VEC will be opened in East Galway today.
The official opening of the centres will be by Minister for Training and Skills Ciaran Cannon.
Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon will officially open the new Youthreach Centre at Poolboy, Ballinasloe this morning.
The centre had previously been based in Cullanes yard, but re-located to the new centre last September.
Co-ordinator at the Youthreach centre Rita Coen explains the facility provides young people the opportunity to acquire certification..
At 3 this afternoon, Minister Ciaran Cannon will be in Portumna to officially open the Adult and Further Education centre at the former vocational school.
Finally, at 3.30 he will perform the official opening of the new Portumna Youthreach Centre at Abbey Street in the town.
