THREE HUNDRED GALWAY CHILDREN AWAITING HEARING TESTS

Almost 300 children in Galway are still on a waiting list for hearing tests because the post for a senior specialist remains vacant.The post for a senior audiological scientist has been vacant for a number of years despite a recruitment drive for the job this summer.According to information released by the HSE, there is no private service that they can contract out until the vacant post is filled.
